1789 Millot's Elements of Modern History - Volume II - First American Printing

This is the first American publication of the translation - from the French - of 'Elements of General History' by Abbe Millot. It is the second volume of Millot's Modern History and was published by Isaiah Thomas of Worcester and Boston. It was printed in Worcester and sold in both of his shops (Boston and Worcester). Thomas was a noted American printer and a true patriot during the Revolutionary War.
The book is in it original binding with foxing on some of the pages and the red leather nameplate on the spine of the book is also original and complete.
Thomas's advertisement for this volume is one of the first pages in the book and is an interesting read in itself. This 230 year old book is in very good shape and is easy to read even today.
