This is a RARE first edition of the 1832 biography of President Andrew Jackson released in the year of the his second election bid to the presidency. It was written by Philo A. Goodwin, Esq. 
It's full title is:
'Biography of Andrew Jackson, president of the United States, formerly major general in the army of the United States.'
This biography of Jackson was written in a very positive slant and Jackson won his re-election easily. It is an interesting read and is in great shape for its age. The owner's name from Falmouth is on the first page that was then repaired, very expertly - with thread - so the picture of Andrew Jackson was preserved. Even the tissue covering for the picture is intact.
