This is a yearly report on the situation with the Native Americans under the control of the War Department's Office of Indian Affairs for the year 1837. In it are the reports of the superintendents from each area of control including Michigan, Wisconsin, the Western Territories, and from almost all of the agents in the superintendency of St Louis. Also included is the Annual Report from the Bounty Land Office including the number of warrants issued and the number of claims deposited for services rendered during the late war, a listing of forms used for disbursements and other statements required of all agents. 

There is also a report of the Commissioner of Pensions showing the number of persons on the rolls of each state and territory of the United States. with a special section on invalid naval pensioners. Some of the pages of this report are also shown in the pictures included in this listing. This compresentive report is 289 pages long with many of the pages still uncut. In very good shape but with most pages having foxing on them, it is complete and a little known part of our history.
