1850 Literary American with Daguerreotype Advertisement
An original edition of the Literary American newspaper/magazine from February 9, 1850. In it are several articles including in Sketches and Tales - 'The Fair Confederate or the Continental Blockade' (about Napoleon), 'A Night of Horror or An Adventure in a Cemetery', 'An Indian Toilet (or Toilette)', 'Joe Miller' about the satirical pamphlet of the same name, The NY Census, 'Vulcanizing Rubber', and many other articles of interest in 1850. There is also a very interesting daguerreotype advertisement with this phrase:
"Likenesses Taken In Clear or Cloudy Weather". There are other interesting advertisements in this mid 19th century newspaper/magazine.
