Circa 1800 - List of Goods for Elisha Brown Probate for Auction by Widow

$22.00Price

This is a list of the goods and chattels of one Elisha Brown of Massachusetts that was prompted by the need of his widow to gather money to most probably pay off his death duties and any remaining bills that needed to be paid.

It looks like they were a prominant family at one time because of the quality of goods she is now forced to sell. The most interesting are the bed fittings including her bed curtains that are valued at $3.30 and her 8 sets of sheets (that is a large number of sheets for this time) that are valued at $8.20. There are many other valuable and, I am sure, beautiful items that were auctioned off at a private sale and not a public auction.

Fully open, this paper is 8" x 9.75" in size.

Offered with free domestic shipping. International buyers please use the international shipping option in the shopping cart.
